Our History
The idea behind Our House came from the concern shared by many parents and caregivers of individuals with disabilities of what happens to their loved ones after high school. The seeming abyss is what the founders were hoping to contend with, by having a tangible location for day program and contracting with school district transition programs to ease the journey from high school to adult services.
From this inception, Our House expanded to provide day habilitation through Medicaid waivers and continued its growth in adding residential services. Throughout the development of the organization individuals and relationships have always been at the core. The evolution has been continuous, with the organization constantly striving to be the best version of itself.
Our House continues to be a collaboration of many wonderful supports that strives to give people the opportunity to grow and express themselves as the unique individuals they are. The focus is to create an atmosphere of community while offering services that ensure safety, responsibility, and independence. Our House centers around cultivating personal growth with daily living skills, social interaction, and community partnership.

Lending A Hand When You Need Us Most
Our House is a 501c3 non-profit organization. Currently our agency accesses different funding sources to try and meet a variety of needs and consistently strives to make ongoing improvements to the facilities that we utilize. A large portion of the revenues that we receive are either funded by families of the individuals that we serve or from state and federal government funded programs.
With a waiting list of individuals that need served and a growing base of individuals being served, we have decided to actively promote alternative methods of funding for our organization. Alternative funding from generous individuals, family offices, businesses and foundations could empower more lives. More capital infusion into our organization would go towards permanent facilities that can be utilized by more individuals and the staff to provide for them.
Our fiscal responsibly and the impact that we have on individuals and their families is dramatic.
