We nurture and plant the seeds that take flight for bright futures

Day Program

Our House’s day program, originally called Bright Futures, is a day habilitation program for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and was the first program established under Our House. The program centers on the needs of adults who have a diagnosed disability and their families; creating and following a plan to foster independence based on individual goals.

With the growth of individuals and their changing needs, Our House Inc. has honed the individualized programs and focuses on several different factors:

Self-Advocacy
Daily Living Skills
Personal Growth
Giving To The Community
Health And Wellness
Socialization

Our House strives to build positive relationships among peers and community members and assist individuals in fostering friendships. These supports are a great way to encourage community membership and participation.

Referrals are received from private and public agencies, as well as from individual requests. Our House works with local school district transition programs, families that privately pay, and specific Medicaid waivers.

Residential Program

Our House offers residential services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. These services include both host homes, where individuals live with a paid staff in the staff’s personal home, and preferred care alternatives, where staff provides assistance to individuals living in their own apartment.

In both host homes and apartment settings, Our House assists with the day to day needs of the individuals, including:

Advocacy
Medical Care
Appointments
Personal Care
Money Management
And Much More

Our House recognizes that some individuals require more hands on assistance to have their daily needs met, and strives to find the right fit between the individuals and staff members providing the services.

In addition to providing for the basic needs of the individuals in service, Our House constructs, implements, and monitors desirable goals for individuals to assist them in gaining greater independence. There is also an emphasis placed on promoting and facilitating positive relationships within the host home, among families, and within the community.

At Our House, the desire is to enhance the quality of people’s lives starting from the home front, in order for them to live as happy and healthy as possible!

Services are funded by the Home and Community Based waiver for people with Developmental Disabilities and those that private pay.
